London Plaques

Londoners and visitors to the capital will be familiar with the numerous plaques, many of them blue, affixed to buildings in the city. Each plaque commemorates either a famous person who was born, lived or stayed in that building or, sometimes, a significant event that took place there, or an earlier use of the site.
